PLUG is the PLASC/NPD Users’ Group, a resource aimed at extending and supporting the use of the recently released National Pupil Database (NPD), which matches information collected through the Pupil Level Annual Schools Census (PLASC) to other data sources such as Key Stage attainment.
The main activities of the group are workshops (see past presentations) and the provision of common support documentation.
The Users' Group is funded by The Department for Education, the owners and managers of the data and the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC).
The Users' Group is hosted by The Centre for Market and Public Organisation (CMPO) , and directed by Simon Burgess, CMPO Director and Harvey Goldstein, Professor of Social Statistics, the Centre for Multilevel Modelling.
