Group design, build and test

The DTC extended research projects provide an ideal opportunity for collaboration between ACCIS, industry and other UK Universities. There is the potential for extended research projects to roll forward to a PhD.

Professor Paul WeaverThere has never been such a demand for composite specialists, and with advanced composites now a national strategic priority area for research, this is a truly exciting area to be working in. Our four year interdisciplinary PhD training aims to address the need for future leaders in this field. The ACCIS Doctoral Training Centre (ACCIS DTC) is funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and brings together scientists and engineers and benefits from strong industrial links. Our innovative programme includes an integrated taught component during the first year.
