We are pleased to announce that the call for Doctoral Training Centre (DTC) extended research projects is now open. We would like to invite colleagues across UK Universities and the industry sector to submit project proposals that will be undertaken in collaboration with the DTC.
Our third cohort of 13 DTC students will each be selecting a six month research project in May 2012 as part of the taught element of the programme. Selected projects will start at the beginning of June 2012 and will be completed by the end of December 2012. The students will be based in Bristol and all project funding will be provided by the ACCIS DTC.
We see this as an ideal opportunity to facilitate collaboration between ACCIS, industry and other UK Universities. There is the potential for extended research to roll forward to a PhD.
Projects will be jointly supervised with a University of Bristol supervisor: one of Giuliano Allegri, Ian Bond, Jacopo Ciambella, Ian Farrow, Stephen Hallett, Paul Harper, Dmitry Ivanov, Hua-Xin Peng, Kevin Potter, Sameer Rahatekar, Fabrizio Scarpa, Richard Trask, Paul Weaver, Michael Wisnom.
Please complete the template below to submit your proposal(s). Please note that the selection of projects is an open and competitive process where students make individual choices based on the information provided via the project proposals.
The deadline for submission is Friday 27th April 2012.
Projects will start on 1 June 2012.
All proposals and any related queries should be submitted by email to Jo Brooks (ACCIS DTC Administrator).
