If you want to bring a sense of occasion to proceedings, Clifton Hill House carries all the hallmarks of Georgian Clifton, with its honey coloured stone, elegant reception rooms and rambling gardens.
So is easy to appreciate why it is a very popular function and banqueting venue throughout the year.
The function room will seat 70, and in-house catering is available, as with all University of Bristol venues.
More a mansion than a house, it was built around 1747 in the grand Palladian style for Bristol merchant Paul Fisher and was later the home of Victorian writer John Addington Symonds.
