BUOLD Masters Degree in Dental Postgraduate Studies by advanced study and research.
If you are about to enroll on your third BUOLD course and have already passed two courses, you may consider studying for the BUOLD MSc. The BUOLD Masters degree in Dental Postgraduate Studies is now available to all dentists holding the Diploma in Dental Postgraduate Studies.
The unit leading to the Masters degree requires that diplomates conduct a literature review and piece of research into a topic based around their clinical practice.
All applicants must hold a DPDS or equivalent. Students who are awarded the Masters Degree in Dental Postgraduate Studies will have to return their diploma certificates to the University prior to receiving their Masters degree, as the diploma contributes 120 credit points towards the masters degree.
Students will be expected to submit, within the two-year period after enrolment, a dissertation of their literature review and research. Students will also be expected to present their research to a group of fellow students, supervisors and possibly the external examiner.
The University will levy a registration fee of £3,828 per annum for home and EU students or £17,000 per annum for overseas students enrolled on the programme, payable to the university once a student is registered for that academic year.
A bench fee of £100 is charged for each course to cover the cost of study days.
