Keeping in Touch Scheme

For anyone who has been out of dentistry for a while, refresher courses, training and assistance is available (at minimal cost) to hone skills and to keep you updated, ready to return to practice. Support and assistance will be tailored, wherever possible, to individual's needs and circumstances throughout the South West.

Audit and Peer Review

As a mandatory element to clinical governance information about audit and peer review in your region can be found here

Development Plans

We have included two types of development plans. A personal development plan allows you to identify learning goals you wish to achieve each year. It may be limited to professional learning activities, or can include personal goals as well. A practice development plan details the main targets for the practice for the each year and is very similar to a business plan.

Dental Courses

Postgraduate dental courses available from the South and West deanery are available from this site.

CPR Training

The new dental contract means that the deanery no longer approves courses or providers for CPDA. The need for practices to continue to train their staff to handle medical emergencies still remains and therefore we have listed training organisations we believe provide appropriate courses for the dental team.
