Funding your studies

Tuition fees

  • Postgraduate tuition fees
    Tuition fees cover the cost of education and research. Wherever possible, up-to-date fees are provided with each programme entry. Fees are quoted per year and are subject to annual review so are liable to rise each year.

  • Tuition fee payments
    All students, except those being sponsored by an external organisation, pay their tuition fees direct to the University. Find out about when and how to pay, sponsorship authorisation forms, and late or non-payment of fees.

Travel and international collaboration

    The WUN is a global partnership of 18 research intensive universities committed to working together to support research and education in areas of global significance. The Researcher Mobility Programme provides funding for a period of overseas research for PhD students and research staff.

    If you have travel funding but would prefer not to cover the costs yourself and claim them back afterwards, you can apply for a Cash Passport card to take with you. All spending must be fully accounted for and any unspent funding must be returned.
