Gradfest is a showcase of emerging talent from the University of Bristol's Department of Drama: Theatre, Film, Television. The showcase will present a series of 15-20 minute theatre performances and film screenings displaying the work of performers, directors, producers, writers, filmmakers, composers and artists from the graduating class. Dates: Sunday 27th - Thursday 31st May 2012. Come along and see what the class of 2012 have to offer!

Year 2 student shortlisted for the Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting

A play by Year 2 Joint Hons student, Miriam Battye (Drama/English) was shortlisted for the Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting. In March, the play was given a professional rehearsed reading at the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester.

Laurence Olivier Awards for two alumni

Two Drama: Theatre, Film, Television alumni won awards at last night's Laurence Olivier Awards ceremony in London: Matthew Warchus (to whom the University gave an Hon D.Litt in 2010) won in the Director category (for Mathilda, the Musical, which won Best Musical) and Peter Darling, who won the award for Theatre Choreographer, also for Mathilda.
