What are the changing roles and scope of universities in emerging global knowledge economies and regions? The Universities in the Global Knowledge Economy (UNIKE) project, funded by FP7 – Marie Curie Actions, has announced 12 doctoral and two post doctoral positions in an Initial Training Network (ITN) at six European Universities.
The Graduate School of Education is offering two doctoral positions and one post-doctoral position.
The Centre for Research on Globalisation, Education and Societies within the Graduate School of Education is one of the six institutional partners along with Aarhus University, Denmark, Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon, France, Univerza V Ljubljani, Slovenia, Universidade do Porto, Portugual and Roehampton University, UK.
The successful candidates will be part of a networked group of critical researchers who will examine the changing roles and scope of universities in emerging global knowledge economies. They will also compare developments in Europe and the Asia-Pacific Rim.
Each successful candidate will be based at one of the partner universities and individually supervised by the person named in the description of the project. Doctoral researchers may choose a second supervisor from the UNIKE partners.
In addition to their individual doctoral or post-doctoral research project, participants will engage in two UNIKE workshops and one UNIKE summer or winter school per year.
