Before university teaching, Anthony Feiler was a teacher and a senior educational psychologist. His current teaching and research focus on special and inclusive education, and on links between schools and parents. Anthony has received awards for conducting research from the British Academy, the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation, the Department for Children Schools and Families and the Qualifications and Curriculum and Development Authority. He is a member of the ESRC Peer Review College; and his book Engaging ‘Hard to Reach’ Parents (Wiley-Blackwell, 2010) was shortlisted for the National Association of Special Educational Needs Academic Book Award 2011.
