Learning and Pedagogy
The Learning and Pedagogy theme focuses on how pedagogy and learning practices are shaped in different educational spaces and using different digital technologies.
Our research investigates how learning and teaching at different levels of education, in different knowledge domains, settings and contexts can be understood and strengthened leading to enhanced professional practice and widening participation in education. We work alongside teachers and practitioners to facilitate their own research and foster collaborative reflection on practice.
Particular areas of interest include:
- in school, mathematics, science, history, music, English, SEN and inclusive education, and teachers’ professional knowledge
- in HE, cross cutting themes such as, inclusive pedagogies, collaborative learning, digital literacies, assessment, widening participation and new pedagogic models of higher education
- in psychology and education, the application of neuroscience to issues in cognition and pedagogy
