All seminars are open to all in and beyond the GSoE and are held in 35 Berkeley Square.

ICS reading group on 'exploring other ways of knowing: postcolonialism'

Starting on Wednesday 18th January. The reading group will look at the work of key authors writing from a postcolonial perspective (Said, Fanon, Spivak, Bhabha, Young and others).

It will look at themes of the validation of other; marginalised ways of knowing; the image of Africa as a way into examine the assumptions that shape our own research. The group will be interdisciplinary with readings that span historical, literary and sociological themes. The group is open to all staff and students and will be publicised in other departments but we hope for a core group from the GSoE and the wider ICS contingent!

Wednesdays, beginning 18 January, 4-5.30pm, room TBC.

BAICE 2012 Conference

Online Registration is now open for the 2012 BAICE Conference.

BAICE is the British Association of International and Comparative Education, of which many in ICS are members.  Membership is open to students (Masters and Doctoral) and academic professionals alike.
