MSc Science and Education

The MSc Science & Education is is an innovative course for science education professionals who wish to develop their practice and enhance student learning. It involves professional support with teaching, researching and communicating science as well as hands on experience at an international centre for teaching and research in science and education.

MSc Science and Education is a team production. Instrumental in its development are Bristol ChemLabS - the centre for excellence in Teaching and Learning Chemistry whose team also tutor on the MSc SURE units based within the Faculties of Science and Medical Sciences, the Bristol Local Authority and the Science Learning Centre South West. Courses taken at SLCSW can be linked to our Professional Development through Reflective Practice Unit to lead to credit for the MSc Science & Education.

Discover is the University's Public Engagement Event held annually. At Discover 2010, Science Education had a stand with activities to engage children and adults alike in enquiry-based activities.
