Applications are invited from highly motivated and qualified candidates for these fully-funded postgraduate studentships in the Department across the following research groups:

The Department has a world leading research profile with 34 academic staff, more than 60 postgraduate research students and 40 full-time research assistants. Over recent years, the Department has received substantial investment in new research equipment and infrastructure, and is a member of major UK and EU research consortia. The Department has received a substantial increase in the research (QR) investment from the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) as a result of the recent Research Assessment Exercise (RAE).

The studentships will cover the fees for students and a stipend at the standard RCUK rate for living costs. Applicants should possess a minimum 2.1 degree or equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Maths, Physics or a related discipline.

Communication Systems and Signal Processing - MSc Studentships

The department has funding available to support UK and EU students on the program. For UK students this financial support will pay fees plus a living stipend of £12,000 for the academic year. For EU students, fees will be paid. Applicants should hold a 2.1 or higher degree in Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or other numerate disciplines.


Advanced Microelectronics and Systems Engineering - MSc Studentships

The Department of Computer Science and the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering have a number of scholarships available to support students on this exciting course. These are available to UK and EU students and provide financial support to cover fees and/or living expenses.
