Dr Tommy Henriksson is currently a Research Assistant in UWB Imaging at the University of Bristol. He received the MSc and Licentiate of Engineering degrees in Electronics in 2003 and 2007 from Mälardalen University, Västerås, Sweden, where he then continued as a postgraduate research student in microwave imaging of biological tissues in the Department of Computer Science and Electronics. From 2006, he followed a Swedish-French convention for joint supervision with Universitié Paris-Sud 11, France, and obtained a French-Swedish PhD degree in physics and electronics, June 2009, from the Universitié Paris-Sud 11, Paris, France, and Mälardalen University, Sweden, with his dissertation entitled 'Contribution to Quantitative Microwave Imaging Techniques for Biomedical Applications'.

In the same year he joined the Department of Electromagnetic Research, Laboratoire des Signaux et Systèmes, Gif-sur-Yvette, France, through a postdoctoral position. Dr Henriksson was involved in fast noniterative (MUltiple SIgnal Classification) MUSIC-type algorithms for eddy-current nondestructive testing, with industrial applications. This project was focused on rapid detection of small void defects inside a conducting plate using compact bobbin array with a MUSIC-type linear inversion.

In 2010 he joined the Centre for Communications Research (CCR) at the University of Bristol. His main research area is Microwave UWB Imaging for Breast Cancer Detection, including linear and nonlinear inverse scattering.
