
My research is focused on the design and modelling of a Photonic Crystal Bio-sensor based on Gallium Nitride materials using FDTD approach. Fabrication of this device structures will be carried out on the later stages using different methods such as Focused-Ion-Beam (FIB), Photo-lithography and Electron beam lithography (EBL). The main aim of this project is to develop a new approach to Lab-on-Chip (LOC) optical analysis.
