Careers

Our graduates have an excellent track record of employment, with over 90 per cent either accepting job offers, or continuing in education. Of the remainder, the majority see the year after graduation as an opportunity in which to travel before settling down to a full-time career.

Many economics, finance and management graduates go into career areas directly reflecting the skills they have gained through studying the subject. These graduates are a target group for many major graduate employers and are high on their recruitment schedule. The sectors to which Bristol students have traditionally applied include finance, accountancy, investment banking, management consultancy and other City and commercial careers. Graduates from the School of Economics, Finance and Management may also gain exemptions from some of the examinations of the various professional accountancy bodies.
