My teaching experience at the University of Bristol comprises teaching two different courses over the last three years. In 2011 and 2013 I taught tutorials for the pre-sessional maths unit of the Economics MSc course. This is a two week intensive course held prior to the students commencing their MSc to ensure they have attained the correct level of mathematics. This course is challenging to teach due to the large variance in the students abilities. The length of the course prevents teaching evaluations, however I have received positive feedback from the students who have continued to study to PhD.

Since 2011, I have taught tutorials in Introduction to Microeconomics, which is a core, first year undergraduate unit in a variety of degree subjects. Evaluation of my teaching in this unit is provided by the students who score their tutors out of 5 for the quality of the tutorials. My teaching has improved year on year, with annual score of 4.24, 4.37 and 4.44, with student feedback describing me as inclusive, engaging and helpful. I aim to guide my tutees to answers rather than solely providing dictation on the material, a teaching style which I have found the students to appreciate and which I hope leads to their greater understanding.
