Ms Jie Sheng

Personal profile

Jie joined the Management department as a PhD student and teaching assistant in November 2014. She holds a MSc degree with distinction in Economics, Finance and Management from University of Bristol, and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Shandong University. Her research focuses on the utilisation of big data in corporate business strategy development, with a particular interest in the strategic firm engagement with online social interactions. The research adopts a data-driven approach to examine the effectiveness of incorporating users' online communications in firms' decision-making process.
