Prospective Undergraduates

The Clifton Suspension Bridge Using the links from this page you can discover six reasons to study in Bristol, how our admissions procedures work and how you might obtain professional accreditation from our programmes.

The degree programmes we provide and our anticipated offer levels for entry 2011 entry are as follows.

The codes shown below are UCAS subject codes, the offers levels shown are for A-levels, and "C1, C2, C3, C4" refer to the modules (Pure) Core Mathematics 1, 2, 3 and 4 (note that these module requirements are for students taking A-levels in the UK.  Students taking A-levels elsewhere, such as Cambridge International Examinations or Singaporean A-levels will not follow the same modular system and for them the Mathematics requirement is simply grade A overall).  For AQA candidates, XMCA2 grade A may take the place of C3 and C4.

There will be introductory talks as well as subject specific talks, but please note that you will have to book your place for the sessions that you wish to attend. In the School of Economics, Finance and Management  we hold an exhibition about our degree programmes, and academic staff are on hand to answer any questions.

Information about the University Open Days for 2012 can be found on the Open Days page

Post Offer Visit Days

Have you received an offer from us?  If so, you will be invited to attend a Post Offer Visit Day.

The Visit Days provide an opportunity for candidates who have already received an offer from us, to visit the School, meet and talk with staff and students, see a little of the University and the City, and hear of any recent developments with the courses.  It is for your benefit so that you can select the university where the courses are surroundings are best suited to you.

Precinct Tours

If you are unable to attend either of the University Open Days in June or September, you may want to take a Precinct Tour instead. These tours run throughout the summer and give potential applicants an opportunity to visit the main University facilities and precinct. Led by current students, the tours are a great way to find out from a student's perspective what it is really like to study and live in Bristol.

Information on the 2012 Precinct Tours and details of how to book a place will be available on the University  further opportunities to visit page in spring 2012.
