The Dean is the highest authority in the Faculty. He chairs the Engineering Faculty Board and represents the Faculty on all the top-level University committees.
The Graduate Education Director is responsible for ensuring high quality postgraduate education within the Faculty and is Chair of the Graduate Studies Committee. The Committee advises the Dean and the Faculty Board on all matters relating to postgraduate education: admissions, teaching and assessment, support for taught and research students, and new initiatives.
The Undergraduate Education Director is responsible for ensuring high quality undergraduate education within the Faculty and is Chair of the Undergraduate Studies Committee. The Committee advises the Dean and the Faculty Board on all matters relating to undergraduate education: teaching and assessment, support for students, and new initiatives.
The Faculty Head of Academic Administration is responsible for overseeing the major administrative processes at undergraduate and postgraduate level, and for servicing the Faculty Committees.
Room 1.48 in Queen's Building is the office to visit for most Postgraduate enquiries. (Remember that changes of address can be notified on-line and Council Tax Exemption can also be applied for on-line).
Room 1.43 in Queen's Building is known as the Faculty Office and is the main office for student-related enquiries (tel. 0117 928 8108 or internal extension 88108). In particular you may need to visit this office for the following reasons:
