Summary

My research interests include Big data anlysis of unstructured text, social network analysis, natural language processing and computational social science. I currently work for the ThinkBIG project which is led by Prof. Nello Cristianini and is supported by a European Research Council Advanced Grant. Currently I'm focusing on the areas of Generation of Text, Translation and Language modelling in large scale and OCR correction of text. I have also worked on scalable online preference learning modules that learn adaptively using machine learning techniques. 

Biography

Saatviga Sudhahar is a Post-doctoral Research Associate in Machine Learning in the Department of Computer Science. She has wide interests in the area of Big Data analysis of unstructured text and its applications. She completed her PhD in Bristol and her research was about 'Automating Large scale anlysis of narrative text using network analysis methods'. Before coming to Bristol she was a member of the academic staff in University of Colombo School of Computing, Sri Lanka where she completed BSc (Hons) in Information and communication technology.

I completed BSc in Information and Communication Technology degree at the University of Colombo School of Computing(UCSC) with a First Class Honors.
I was a member of the Academic Staff at University of Colombo School of Computing(UCSC)
