Providing an in-depth theoretical understanding and practical knowledge of advanced composite materials, this programme is based in the Advanced Composites Centre for Innovation and Science (ACCIS). As one of the world's leading centres in composite materials, it houses a number of state-of-the-art composites manufacturing facilities.

Doctoral training

The Centre for Doctoral Training in Non-destructive Evaluation (NDE) facilitates collaborative industry-university research in advanced sensor and imaging technology. The Centre is jointly sponsored by EPSRC and industrial partners, with students registered at the Universities of Bristol, Manchester, Strathclyde, Nottingham, Warwick and Imperial College London, where the Centre is managed.
