Field Theory of branching Wieners and spatial coupon collectors

Many spatial stochastic processes, such as spatial exploration and cover times, can be cast elegantly in the language of reaction diffusion processes, which are accessible to a field theoretic approach. I will present recent field theoretical results on the spatial exploration of branching Brownian particles, the branching Wiener Sausage, as well as on cover times of individual Brownian particles. Numerically, the latter have a richer phenomenology than one might expect, suggesting that cover times cannot always be understood in terms of coupon collectors.
