ACCIS researcher awarded Network Grant from EPSRC

Submitted in collaboration with Professor Deborah Greaves FICE at the University of Plymouth, Dr Paul Harper, Advanced Composites Collboration for Innovation and Science (ACCIS), is awarded the prestigious EPSRC Network Grant for PRIMaRE (Partnership for Research In Marine Renewable Energy) Network.

The Network is led by the University of Plymouth and involves Universities of Bristol, Bath, Southampton and Exeter as well as Plymouth Marine Laboratories, the Marine Biological Association, SWMEP and WaveHub. The aim of PRIMaRE is to foster a multi-institutional world-class research cluster in all aspects of marine renewable energy and to develop the sector and address challenges facing the industry at the regional, national and international level. The Network also holds an annual conference and industry workshops. The Network Grant will be used to enhance and extend the links between the interdisciplinary research community that shapes PRIMaRE and key international researchers and institutions.

The University of Bristol is currently due to host the Annual PRIMaRE conference in summer 2018 thus providing an excellent opportunity to promote ACCIS’s recent pioneering research in the marine energy sector.
