ACCIS CDT: Call for Ph.D. project proposals
8 September 2017
The call for ACCIS CDT Ph.D. project proposals is now open. Deadline: Friday 20 October 2017.
The EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Advanced Composites for Innovation and Science (ACCIS CDT) would like to invite colleagues across Universities and the industry sector to submit Ph.D. project proposals that will be undertaken in collaboration with the CDT.
Our eighth cohort of 16 CDT students will select their Ph.D. projects in December 2017 following completion of the taught element of the programme. Selected projects will commence at the beginning of January 2018 and will be completed by the end of September 2020. Details of current Ph.D. projects can be found on the CDT website.
Projects will be jointly supervised with a University of Bristol supervisor based within the Bristol Composites Institute (ACCIS) (see staff profiles and research interests), and draw on our existing composites research themes.
Please note that project funding will be required for all industrially supported projects, and that the selection of projects is an open and competitive process where students make individual choices based on the information provided via the project proposals.
If you are interested in submitting a proposal please contact Dr Ian Hamerton (CDT Deputy Director and Research Coordinator) or Sarah Hallworth (CDT Manager) to request a copy of the proposal template.
All completed proposals should be submitted by email to Sarah Hallworth (firstname.lastname@example.org) by Friday 20 October 2017.
