Steve Gregory was formerly a pioneering researcher in concurrent logic programming. His Parlog language inspired much of the content of the ill-fated Japanese Fifth Generation Computer Systems (FGCS) Project of the 1980s. After designing several more little-used programming languages, he decided to change research direction. Since 2006 he has been working in the emerging field of network science, specializing in community structure.
