Byron holds a BSc (Hon) in Sports Conditioning and Coaching from the University of the West of England, and in 2008 graduated with distinction from the University of Bristol with an MSc in Nutrition, Physical Activity and Public Health.
He assisted on the Active for Life Yr 5 project in South Gloucestershire before taking a post at the MRC Epidemiology Unit in Cambridge in 2009. Here, Byron worked on mid-scale epidemiological studies and clinical trials which explore the genetic and environmental mediators of health. In March 2011 he joined the ENHS Centre as full-time research assistant for the PEAR Project.
