We have also had surveys carried out by external consultants via the Action Energy programme which identified potential savings of £60,700. The EEMU are presently reviewing and implementing these recommendations

Identifying Projects - Energy Saving Ideas
Although the EEMU team carry out audits of buildings looking for energy saving projects, the people who are in the best position to spot energy and water saving opportunities are those who work in the buildings. In 2003 we launched an Energy Saving Ideas competition, which was open to the University's Direct Labour Organisation. From the entries submitted we were able to select ten ideas that we can either implement straight away or investigate further to look at the feasibility of the project.

If you have an energy / water saving idea, please let us know.
