Equality, Diversity and Inclusion annual reports

The University’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Team based in HR’s Organisational Development section continues to support the University in meeting the three elements of the general equality duty, which are to have due regard to the need to:

  • eliminate unlawful discrimination, harassment and victimisation and other conduct prohibited by the Equality Act 2010
  • advance equality of opportunity between people from different groups
  • foster good relations between people from different groups

The Annual Monitoring Reports set out the equality-related data that has been gathered that academic year alongside data gathered in previous years.  These data provide us with an evidence-based approach to equality and demonstrate our compliance with the requirement of the Equality Act to publish relevant equality information.  This also enables the University to prioritise and focus our resources on specific equality agendas.
