Institutional Audit 2009

The University's Institutional Audit took place on 27 April - 1 May 2009 with the Briefing visit on 17-19 March 2009. The purpose of Institutional Audit is to provide public information on the quality of the institution's management of the academic standards of its awards and the quality of learning opportunities available to students.

As a result of the audit team's investigations it concluded that: confidence can be placed in the soundness of the University's present and likely future management of its academic standards and the quality of the learning opportunities available to students. This judgement is the highest rating possible that can be awarded by the audit team.

It also concluded that the University has a firm oversight of the enhancement process and identified a number of features of good practice.

The full Audit report (RG 537 08/09) and related annex are now available on the QAA website
