Faculty Advice and Support
The Education Support Unit responds to the educational needs of each of the faculties by:
- bringing the professional expertise of the unit to a wide variety of queries, including keeping faculties and departments abreast of internal policy and guidance and external developments in the field of education;
- coordinating a University response to external consultations, such as those issued by HEFCE
- being proactive in helping faculty committees and groups to introduce new developments and supporting them in university and faculty-centred initiatives;
- sharing good practice between different disciplines;

supporting faculty and departmental quality assurance activities:
To assist this the Unit has produced a Handbook for Academic Quality and Standards and also has nominated members of the unit to undertake faculty liaison roles.
