Policy on Postgraduate Research Students who Teach

Policy on Postgraduate Research Students who Teach

Postgraduate participation in  undergraduate teaching is beneficial to students and staff. It enables postgraduate research students to gain valuable transferable skills and  an insight into a career in academia, while helping to inform research-led teaching for undergraduates.

The Policy seeks to establish a common framework for supporting postgraduate research students involved with teaching. Approved by Senate in October 2012, it is being piloted in 2012-13, with a view to achieving full implementation for 2013-14 onwards.
