The Skills Group was established in 2007 to replace the Skills and Progress Files Working Group (SPFWG), which had been investigating and recommending to Education Committee the implementation of Progress Files and Personal Development Planning (PDP) processes since 2003, following the findings of the Dearing Report.
The Skills Group reports directly to Education Committee on all issues related to student skills development and Personal Development Planning (PDP), representing the interests of academic departments and the support services.
