The University participates in a number of sector wide surveys which enable the University to see what is going well and what could be improved right across the student experience.  Detailed information can be found by following the links below.

NSS

The National Student Survey (NSS) is an annual survey of all final year undergraduate students. It runs across all publicly funded higher education institutions in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and some HEIs in Scotland.  Results are published and used in league tables.

SERU

The Student Experience in Research Universities (SERU) is a survey undertaken by a consortium of institutions which includes a peer group of top ranked U.S. and international major research universities.

Student Barometer

The Student Barometer is run twice-yearly and looks to discover what students think about their experience in the round, it also allows us to compare our performance with more than 100 British (inclu. many from the Russell Group) and international institutions who take part in the survey.

The Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) is a UK-wide survey that collects the views of current postgraduate researchers in order to target, design and evaluate work to enhance the learning experiences of students on research programmes.
