Taught Programmes - Clinical/Applied programmes

  • MSc in Applied Neuropsychology
  • This MSc is available to anyone holding a minimum 2.1 degree (or international equivalent) in Psychology or a related discipline, either from the UK or abroad. We collaborate with the Department of Neuropsychology at the North Bristol NHS Trust to provide you with training in clinical and theoretical neuropsychology. A substantial proportion of the course is taught by NHS clinicians, which results in an authentic reflection of clinical practices and issues. The exact same taught content is also provided to qualified Clinical Psychologists wishing to specialise in Clinical Neuropsychology. This degree also includes weekly tutorials with qualified Clinical Psychologists and Neuropsychologists.

  • PG Diploma in Applied Neuropsychology
  • This diploma is available to anyone holding a minimum 2.1 degree (or international equivalent) in Psychology or a related discipline, either from the UK or abroad. It provides the same taught content as our Diploma in Clinical Neuropsychology and is aimed at people seeking to further their understanding in clinical neuropsychology or wishing to engage in continued professional development while working in a clinical setting. 80% of the Taught content is provided by experienced Clinicians working in the National Health Service. This programme is also available as a full distance learning course.
    One year full-time, two years part-time

     PG Diploma in Clinical Neuropsychology

  • This diploma requires you to have a UK Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or BPS-recognised equivalent) and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council. The diploma is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) as meeting the requirements for the Adult Knowledge component of the Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology (QiCN).  It combines our academic excellence with the experience, knowledge, and skill of the Department of Neuropsychology at North Bristol NHS Trust.
    One year full-time, two years part-time
  • MSc Clinical Neuropsychology
  • This MSc requires you to have a UK Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or BPS-recognised equivalent) and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council. This course is an expansion of our PG Diploma in Clinical Neuropsychology that is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) to provide the Adult knowledge component of the Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology (QiCN). As this is the first year we are offering the MSc, the course is awaiting BPS accreditation. The MSc intends to deliver the Adult Knowledge component of the QiCN and an equivalent pathway to the Adult Practice component of the QiCN. It offers support towards the submission of your QiCN case portfolio. In a conventional MSc there is a research project. On this degree, the research component is replaced by training towards the Adult Practice component of the QiCN.
  • PG Certificate Clinical Neuropsychology Practice * New *
  • The Certificate in Clinical Neuropsychology Practice requires you to have undertaken study accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) as meeting the requirements for the Knowledge component of the Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology (QiCN). It also requires that you are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. This course is an expansion of our Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Neuropsychology that is accredited by the BPS to provide the Adult knowledge component of the QiCN. As this is the first year we are offering the Certificate, the course is awaiting BPS accreditation. The Certificate intends to deliver an equivalent pathway to either the Adult or Paediatric Practice component of the QiCN. Applicants must have undertaken study for the relevant version (Adult/Paediatric) of the Knowledge component of the QiCN.

  • PG Diploma in Applied Neuropsychology (E-Learning)
  • (For students resident overseas only)
    This Diploma is available to non-residents of the UK holding a degree in Psychology or a related discipline. It provides the same taught content as our Diploma in Clinical Neuropsychology and is aimed at students residing overseas seeking to further their understanding in clinical neuropsychology or wishing to engage in continued professional development while working in a clinical setting. 80% of the Taught content is provided by experienced Clinicians working in the National Health Service in the UK.

Taught Programmes - Conversion programmes

  • MSc Experimental Psychology (Conversion) * New *
  • This programme trains graduates with a nonpsychology background in the theories of cognition, brain and behaviour, and the experimental research methods used to develop and test such theories. The degree is accredited by the British Psychological Society.
