I am interested in the cerebral organization of auditory processing, and especially the functional reorganization occurring after a "virtual" brain lesion such as Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). I am combining TMS and functional imaging (fMRI) to map the neural plasticity in the auditory network during various auditory tasks. My work aims at investigating the role of interhemispheric interactions and their role for recovery mechanisms after TMS-induced interference in order to optimize therapeutic application in auditory-related disorders (tinnitus, autism, auditory hallucinations in schizophrenia patients).
