Understanding the association between alcohol and cognition as risk factors for dementia

Liam Mahedy's main area of research is in applying observational and genetic epidemiological methods to the understanding of alcohol related harms. The core strength of my research is implementing a triangulation approach which strengthens the ability to make causal associations. I am currently working with Prof. Marcus Munafo on a project examining the association between alcohol use and cognition as risk factors for dementia, with the support of an Elizabeth Blackwell Institute early career fellowship. I welcome contact from potential collaborators.
