The Effect of Smoking Cues on Goal Directed Control of Instrumental Behaviour
Experiment details
- Up to 40mins
- 12a Priory road BS8 1TU, test room 5 on the 5th floor,
- Following screening, participants will complete a computer-based task where they must rate various cigarette package designs, and try to win rewards of tobacco and chocolate. They will then be asked to complete a series of questionnaires rating drinking behaviour, smoking behaviour, personality and mood.
Inclusion criteria
- Aged 18-40
- Daily smokers (smoking at least 5 cigarettes per day, the first within one hour of waking).
- Primarily be a packaged cigarette smoker (i.e. not roll ups).
- Free from allergies/dietary sensitivity to chocolate.
