Grounds team
The grounds team operates two mobile teams to cover much of the University estate. The team maintains a diverse range of properties, including: the Royal Fort, Burwalls, Goldney Hall, Clifton Hill House and Manor Hall.
The Grounds Coordinator has overall responsibility for the team and instructing external contractors.

- Graffitti removal from University signage
- Maintenance of conservation areas/arboretums
- Weed control
- Hard surface maintenance and/or minor repair
- Wall surveys and maintenance
- Hard landscaping projects
- Minor arboricultural work – felling/clearance
Much of the work is undertaken “in house”; however, when certain specialist jobs (e.g. line marking of car parks) are requested, Gardens and Grounds will project manage the work, utilising specialist contractors.
