Eileen Drummond and Sheila Anderson Law Bursary

First-year undergraduate students studying single honours Law from low income backgrounds can apply for living cost bursaries

This award is for Home UK undergraduate applicants intending to study single honours Law, at the University of Bristol Law School.

The award will provide £2,000 in support towards living costs for the first year of study only.

Eligibility

You can apply if you:

  • are an undergraduate student who has an offer (or be awaiting a decision) to study single honours Law at the University of Bristol Law School;
  • have not been enrolled on an undergraduate degree programme previously;
  • are a Home/UK student;
  • are eligible for financial support from your regional funding provider (i.e. Student Finance England, Student Finance Wales, Student Finance Northern Ireland or Student Awards Agency for Scotland)
  • have an assessed household income of under £42,875;

Household income details will be checked with the Student Loans Company (SLC). You must apply for means-tested support from the SLC, and give your consent (along with parents/sponsors) to share this information.

Priority will be given to those students who meet a number of widening participation criteria.

The closing date for applications is Thursday 16 May 11:59 pm. Late applications will not be considered.

Assessment process
