Requests for Company Information / Credit Account Applications
If you receive a request for basic company information from one of your suppliers please complete and return the form without forwarding it on to Finance. We are unable to complete these on your behalf as the information will vary between departments.
These requests will typically be made by companies when
a) They are opening a credit account for your department which will allow you to submit orders and receive an invoice at a later date.
b) They are updating their systems and want to ensure they hold the correct information for you.
Whenever opening an invoicing / credit account please ensure that you simultaneously register the supplier on Proactis before placing any orders.
Procurement may, at their discretion, refuse a supplier request if for instance we already have a contracted supplier for those particular goods or services. If you have already placed and received orders you will find yourself unable to process their invoices.
The University's payment terms are 30 days, provided a valid purchase order number is quoted on the invoice. Please do not sign anything stating that you agree to anything other than 30 days. (e.g. 14 days)
Please also ensure you opt out of mailing lists for catalogues and advertising at this point.
