Contact your Faculty Finance team representative.
The level of commitments on my account looks very high, why is this?
As long as an order has been authorised within Proactis, it will appear as a commitment. If you have old orders on the Proactis system which have subsequently been cancelled, you will need to clear them down on Proactis to prevent them continuing to appear on the Business Objects report. Contact your Faculty Finance team for further help and assurance with this.
If an order has only been partially receipted the remaining quantity of the order will appear as a commitment. For example; an order is placed for 100 test tubes but only 90 are delivered and marked as ‘received’ on Proactis. The remaining 10 are not expected. These 10 will continue to show as a commitment until the Proactis order is cleared down.
It is therefore important to review your Proactis outstanding purchase orders regularly to ensure that they are still valid.
Where do the budget figures come from?
These are taken from CODA (the central finance system). Your Faculty Finance teams are responsible for keeping the budgets up to date and will be able to provide you with more information if you have a question about specific accounts.
When I look at salaries, how can I see what staff these relate to?
This is not possible within Business Objects because payroll is posted anonymously to protect staff confidentiality. If you have a specific query please contact your faculty finance representative.
