Students' Health Service

It is important that you register with a local general medical practice in Bristol as soon as possible after you arrive. The majority of students opt to register with the Students’ Health Service, which is part of the National Health Service (NHS) and offers a full general practice service for all University of Bristol students and their dependants who live within the practice area.

You can register online with the University of Bristol Health Service by using our secure link at www.bristol.ac.uk/students/new-pg. Further information about the Service is available at www.bristol.ac.uk/students-health.

If you have any ongoing medical conditions, please let your GP know you are coming away to university as they may wish to write to the Students Health Service or your new GP to inform them about any ongoing treatment.

If on arrival in Bristol you find yourself unwell, please contact the Students Health Service on (0117) 330 2720. For urgent medical enquiries out of normal practice hours please telephone (0117) 330 2721.

Further information on the Student's Health Service can be found on their website.
