Global Urban Research and Policy
The Global Urban Research and Policy Group (Gurp Group) aims to bring together scholars from across the University to encourage and support urban research, education and policy engagement. The group will act as a focal point for information exchange, networking and communications, raising the profile of the excellent work already being done and facilitating the development of new initiatives. We welcome participation from academic staff, post-doctoral fellows, researchers and graduate students who take an interest in cultural, economic, environmental, historical, political and social aspects of urbanism anywhere in the world. The primary objectives of the Gurp Group are to facilitate networking and information sharing among Bristol staff, fellows, researchers and graduate students; to organise and facilitate events such as seminars, conferences, workshops and public lectures that centre around urban research and policy issues; and to encourage and support individual and collective research, from the conceptualisation stage through bid development, execution and publication.
To join this group, please email the group leader with details of your relevant research interests.
