What is the SWDTC?

The Universities of Bristol, Exeter and Bath have created the South West Doctoral Training Centre (SWDTC) which draws together the established research excellence of more than 770 academic and research staff at the three institutions.

The South West Doctoral Training Centre (SWDTC) is accredited by the Economic and Social Research Council to provide postgraduate research training in the social sciences.

As one of only 21 centres in the UK, it is part of a national network that is training a new generation of social scientists.
