How can I apply to study here?
Undergraduates
All applications to full-time programmes must be made through the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS). The UCAS code name and number for this University is BRISLB78. You can apply online at www.ucas.com and should apply before the 15th of January. Full information on the application process and entry requirements is available in our undergraduate prospectus.
Postgraduates
You are now able to apply online for all our postgraduate programmes.
If you are unable to apply online, please email pg-admissions@bristol.ac.uk to request a paper application form.

How can I visit the Faculty / Department?
Undergraduates
The University holds an Open Day in June and September each year. This is a great opportunity to visit individual departments, view student accommodation and to meet academic staff. All departments will be open on the day.
Some Schools and Departments will also invite you to visit after you have applied or been offered a place to study here.
Postgraduates
Some Schools have specific open days when you can visit, others welcome visitors at most times of the year. Please contact postgraduate admissions staff in Schools in advance by email or phone if you would like to arrange a visit. Contact information can be found on each programme page in our prospectus.
Precinct Tours
The University offers precinct tours to prospective students during the summer each year. Tours are led by current students and aim to give you an idea of what it is like to study and live in Bristol. Postgraduate students, please see the guidance here:
How can I find out about the progress of my application?
Undergraduates
You can track the progress of your application via the UCAS on-line service. UCAS will also email you when an institution makes you an offer and will send you a letter confirming all results.
You will also receive regular information from the University about your application. Normally, you will receive an email or letter from the School or Department that you applied to and the Undergraduate Admissions Office.

Postgraduates
You should receive a decision on your application, normally within two months. You should also receive regular information from the University about your application. You will receive an email or letter from the School or Department that you applied to as well as from the Faculty Office.
