Seminars

Arranged thematically, each day-long seminar highlights arenas in which new conceptualisations of gender, space, and bodies cut across political economy, welfare, citizenship, materiality, and political ecology. Six sessions will draw together academics from diverse disciplines working on gender, space and time in and between specific localities. Each seminar is organised around a key theme, with participants drawn from different institutions and disciplinary backgrounds. Five of the sessions will examine the theoretically eclectic underpinnings of feminist and gender-sensitive work on space and time by interrogating how these understandings impact on the cross-cutting themes of economy, governance, community, nature, and life. The final session will critically explore how debates brought together through the series are transforming feminist scholarship and activism and their future prospects.
