M.Sci. student's dissertation to be published in Oxford Review of Education

Congratulations to Sam Rose a graduating M.Sci. student in 2011 whose dissertation 'A Benefit to the Poor? Re-evaluating Buckinghamshire's Grammar School System' has been revised and accepted for publication in the prestigious international journal, Oxford Review of Education.
Advisor and co-author Richard Harris writes, "External examiners often comment on the exceptional quality of our students' dissertations and justifiably so. At a time when there is a lot of soul-searching about the perceived low quality of quantitative methods teaching in UK social science, it is a delight to see Bristol geography bucking the trend, and to see work based on a student's research be published in a major journal."
The paper is due in April 2013.
