Prof Paul Valdes signs MOU with Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Gardens

Signing the Memorandum of Understanding

Dr Alex Farnsworth, Dr Jan Peter (JP) Mayser, Professor Dan Lunt and Professor Paul Valdes are currently in the Yunnan province in S.W China doing field work related to their research project investigating the role of climate and Tibetan uplift in the evolution of the high biodiversity in the region.

The work is with colleagues in Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Gardens (XTBG), Sun Yat-Sen University, and the Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research in Beijing. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between XTBG and Bristol University will help establish further research collaborations in the area of climate, ecosystems and biodiversity.
